AAP workers burn effigies of defectors in Betul, allege ‘Operation Lotus’

Several workers and local leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday burned effigies of party leaders including Raghav Chadha, who recently quit the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Several workers and local leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday burned effigies of party leaders including Raghav Chadha, who recently quit the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

AAP members raised slogans against the defecting leaders as well as the BJP.

The protesters alleged that the BJP is carrying out ‘Operation Lotus’ with the aim of weakening democracy and democratic values in the country.

They also strongly criticised the former AAP leaders who recently joined the BJP.
