The 56th Zonal Rajbhasha Implementation Committee Meeting of East Coast Railway (ECoR) was held today at Rail Sadan, Bhubaneswar, under the chairmanship of Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway.

The meeting reaffirmed ECoR’s continued commitment to strengthening the use of Hindi in official communication and ensuring strict adherence to the Government of India’s Official Language Policy.

During the meeting, the General Manager highlighted the crucial role of the Rajbhasha Department in enhancing communication standards across the Railway system.

He emphasized that station sign boards across all stations must be accurate, error-free, and correctly displayed in Hindi, ensuring clear and effective communication between Railway and its valued passengers.

On this occasion, a special brochure containing the Standard List of Essential Coach Boards and Signages in Hindi was released.

The meeting was attended by Principal Heads of Departments, including Alok Sahay, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari.
