The Rajasthan government has declared as many as 2,226 flood-ravaged villages in five districts of the state scarcity-hit.
The villages of the Ajmer, Alwar, Kota, Pali and Jhunjhunu districts have reported damages to crops up to 33 per cent or more in floods during the monsoon season. The farmers suffering from the loss are eligible for relief, or other provisions, Dy Secretary Disaster Management and Relief, Shaifali Kushwah, said here Wednesday quoting a gazette notification.

The villages are declared scarcity-hit on the basis of the Girdawari Report pertaining to the Kharif Crop season of Samvat 2082 (year 2025-26).
Floods and heavy rains also caused widespread loss-damage to life, private and public properties in the state. At least 193 people have died in flood or rain related mishaps during the monsoon season.
Besides the due compensation to flood victims, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma granted special allocation of Rs 1,012 Crore for repair/renovation of the public properties, the government or school buildings, roads, bridges and other infrastructure that rendered damages in floods or heavy rains.
