20 years of Kargil: 2019 Kargil Vijay Diwas calendar will give you goosebumps
The year 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the Kargil War, and the Indian Army has decided to celebrate the year with splendour.

On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army drove out Pakistani forces and militants who had captured territories in the Kargil region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Kargil War fought for more than 60 days, finally concluded on July 26, 1999. Since then, Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26 every year to honour the heroes who fought for the country.
India lost its 527 soldiers in the war.
The year 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the Kargil War, and the Indian Army has decided to celebrate the year with splendour. The Army has released its New Year calendar, “20 Years of Kargil” to pay homage to all the soldiers who fought in the war, lost their lives or were severely injured.

The theme of the calendar is ‘Remember’, ‘Rejoice’ and ‘Renew’ and the main purpose is to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs, rejoice in their victory and renew the vow for the future. The main page is made with a compilation of the photos of the Kargil War soldiers along with their quotes.
The calendar pays homage to the Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra Awardees of the Operation Vijay.
Every month has an assemblage of stunning pictures along with a quote that celebrates the glory of the Indian Army.
