The Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly will have 10 sittings, and the Budget for the 2026-27 financial year will be tabled on February 11.

The session will commence on February 9 with Governor Anandiben Patel addressing the joint session of the legislature at 11 am.

The schedule was released by the assembly secretariat here on Wednesday.

Officials said that on February 10, the assembly will be adjourned for the day after paying condolences on the deaths of two sitting members.

The Budget proposals for the 2026-27 financial year will be tabled by State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna at 11 am on February 11 in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Later, after the tabling of the budget, the House will commence debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, which will continue on February 12 and conclude on February 13 afternoon, with the CM’s reply.

There will be no sittings on February 14 and 15 due to the Saturday and Sunday holidays.

The debate on the departmental budget will be held from February 16 to 19, while the Budget will be approved in the afternoon on February 20, before the end of the session.
