‘Refreshing to see independent productions, global cinema on Indian screens’

The director, who has to his credit shorts like 'Cakewalk', starring Esha Deol, 'Season's Greetings' with Celina Jaitly and 'Rickshawala' with Avinash Dwivedi, says that it is important for him not to repeat his narratives.
'Prithviraj' is also based mainly on medieval literature, an epic called 'Prithviraj Raso' by the great poet Chand Bardai. Apart from couple of versions of 'Raso', there are many other literary works on Prithviraj, his life and times. In addition to these there are commentaries on 'Raso'," Dwivedi said.
"Usually the kind of love (we got after announcing the break-up) people get after they die. But we got to see it while we are alive and I am just so thankful and so grateful for all of that"
With theatres opening once again, filmmakers are hopeful to get the cash registers ringing. "Mumbai Saga" is one of the earliest big-budget films from Bollywood to have a theatrical release post the opening of cinemas. Rohit feels the audience needs the magic of movies in theatres again.
With Covid lockdown having kept actors off the big screen for months, many actors are returning with renewed vigour, and lining up multiple releases for the months to come.
