Sridevi’s death: Bangladeshi author slammed for spreading conspiracy theories

The nation was shocked on hearing the news of India’s first female superstar Sridevi’s demise due to cardiac arrest, on Sunday. People had not yet revived from the news and already the revelation of the real cause of the actress’ death stunned us again.

Updates were that the actress died of ‘accidental drowning’ and this lead to rising of conspiracies by Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen. The celebrated author took to Twitter and posted her take on the incident. The tweet read, “Sridevi’s body was found in a bathtub full of water. Hope it is not homicide or suicide.”

Since the untimely death occurred in unusual conditions, this conspiracy must have raised in the author’s thoughts. After she posted this, Twitterati did not hold back to criticise the conspiracy theory Taslima camp up with. Here is how the tweeter users reacted:

But these did not stop Nasreen and she further tweeted regarding Sridevi’s demise.

She wrote in her tweet, “Healthy adults don’t drown in bathtubs accidentally.”

Taslima Nasreen did not back out after the bashing and continued to revert to the ones criticizing her.
