Life, however, wasn’t easy. After losing his parents, he had to leave school and shoulder family responsibilities at a young age. But he never gave up on theatre. Carrying forward his parents’ legacy, Raju worked tirelessly in stage performances.

Talikote’s journey to the big screen began with the film ‘Hendathi Andre Hendathi’. From there he went on to act in several popular Kannada movies. The filmography includes ‘Manasare’, ‘Pancharangi’, ‘Rajadhani’, ‘Lifeu Ishtene’, ‘Alemari’, ‘Maina’, ‘Toppiwala’, and ‘Punjabi House’.

He also appeared in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss Kannada’ Season 7. But long before his television fame, Raju had already made his mark in theatre. His play ‘Kaliyuga Kudukka’ became a cultural phenomenon in the 1990s.
