Ram Charan’s Telugu sports action drama ‘Peddi’ is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026, with paid premiere shows starting June 3. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment. The cast includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, and Boman Irani, with music by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman. The film’s budget stands at Rs 300 crore.

Release jistory and delays

‘Peddi’ was originally scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday, but was postponed due to unfinished production work. The date was later shifted to April 30, 2026, then to June 25, 2026, before being preponed to the current date of June 4, 2026.

North America advance booking numbers

The film’s strongest advance booking performance has come from North America. ‘Peddi’ crossed $670,000 in North America premiere pre-sales, adding around $50,000 in sales daily ahead of the release date. As per tracking data from Venky Box Office, ‘Peddi’ grossed $784,611 in the USA from 533 locations, 1,647 shows, and 28,037 tickets sold.

With two days still left before premiere shows at the time of the latest update, the film was expected to cross $1 million in premiere pre-sales in North America.

Overall USA advance bookings were nearing $700,000 as of June 1, 2026.

For context, ‘Peddi’ crossed the $100,000 mark in North America within four hours of bookings opening, faster than OG Movie ($82,000), Devara Part 1 ($75,000), Pushpa 2 ($52,000), and Salaar Part 1 ($40,000) at the same stage.

North America break-even target

According to figures shared by Venky Box Office, ‘Peddi”s North America break-even target across all languages has been pegged at $6.5 million. The overall overseas break-even point stands at approximately $9 million.

India advance booking figures

India advance bookings had a slower start compared to overseas. As per Track Tollywood, the movie had sold 1,424 tickets as of May 30, 2026, for its opening weekend. Total advances for the first weekend stood at nearly Rs 5 lakh, with opening day figures crossing the Rs 2 lakh mark at that point.

However, bookings picked up significantly after full-fledged sales opened. As per Track Tollywood, ‘Peddi’ sold around 3,76,390 tickets in India for its opening weekend, earning over Rs 15 crore in advance booking collections by June 2, 2026. Full advance bookings opened in India including for the Hindi dubbed version in North Indian belts.

Andhra Pradesh ticket prices and premiere shows

The Andhra Pradesh government granted permission for ticket price hikes and special premiere shows. Advance bookings opened across Andhra Pradesh on June 1, 2026, with online ticketing platforms selling tickets in major cities including Vizag, Nellore, Guntur, Ongole, and Anantapur.

Paid premieres on June 3 are priced at Rs 600. From Day 1 to Day 10, tickets cost Rs 247.50 in single screens and Rs 302 in multiplexes.

The ticket price hike is valid for ten days starting June 4, 2026. During this period, theatres across Andhra Pradesh can screen up to five shows per day. The government issued this order after examining the request submitted by the producers and considering cinema regulations. District Collectors, Joint Collectors, Cinema Licensing Authorities, and Police Commissioners have been instructed to ensure the rules are followed.

Telangana bookings status

As of June 1, 2026, there was no official update about premiere show permissions in Telangana. Fans in the state were waiting for clarity from the Telangana government regarding special screenings and ticket hikes. Ticket sales in Telangana were scheduled to go live by the end of June 1. Exact timings for premiere shows there were still awaited.

Distribution and overseas reach

The film is distributed by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with Jio Studios handling North India distribution. Hombale Overseas is handling overseas distribution, covering key territories including North America, the UK, Australia, and the Gulf region.

Competition in Hindi belts

Ram Charan’s previous Hindi release Game Changer opened to over Rs 8 crore. This time, ‘Peddi’ will face competition in Hindi markets from Bobby Deol’s Bandar. Then comes Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
