‘Jana Nayagan’ poster out: Thalapathy Vijay prepares for a cinematic goodbye before full-time politics

A brand-new poster dropped on Thursday confirming that the film will hit screens on January 9, 2026 putting to rest all speculation about delays.

This film is particularly special as it marks the grand farewell of superstar Thalapathy Vijay, one of Tamil cinema’s most celebrated actors. The film has backing of KVN Productions, and is a directorial venture of Vinoth.

The timing of the release is strategic. Releasing just days before Makar Sankranti and Pongal, the film is already eyeing to dominate the festive box office. In Tamil Nadu, these holidays are synonymous with family outings, which also means big-screen celebrations.
