For years, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi had stayed in his comfort zone in Bollywood. Fans remember him for his intense performances, and of course his sharp screen presence. But now, the actor is stepping into an entirely new world of Telugu cinema. Yes, Emraan is making his debut by facing Pawan Kalyan in the much-talked-about action drama ‘OG’.

The actor himself seems excited about the move. Talking about it, Emraan shared that when the offer first came to him, he knew right away this was the right film to mark his Telugu debut.

“What better way to step into this industry than by locking horns with Pawan Kalyan on screen?” he said.

Directed by Sujeeth, the film already has fans buzzing after its teaser dropped recently. The teaser presents Emraan as a ruthless crime boss who rules the city in OG’s absence. But the real thrill arrives at the end, when Pawan Kalyan’s character, Ojas Gambheera, makes a grand comeback after ten long years.

Emraan Hashmi also praised his team, saying that working with Sujeeth and Pawan Kalyan was a “fantastic experience.” He was in awe with the attention given to his look, lines, and overall character design.

The film has a strong ensemble cast, featuring Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy. Music is composed by Thaman S, whose tracks have always been chartbusters in Telugu cinema.

On the business side, ‘OG’ has already generated major interest. Monk Films and Vibrant Vista Entertainments have bagged the North India and Nepal theatrical rights. Backed by DVV Danayya, the producer behind ‘RRR’, ‘OG’ is ready for release on September 25.
