Fans of Pawan Kalyan received a powerful birthday gift this week. The makers of ‘They Call Him OG’, director Sujeeth’s much-hyped action thriller, dropped a glimpse video on the occasion of the actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister’s birthday.
The teaser opens with a menacing introduction to the film’s villain. He reads a chilling letter addressed to the protagonist OG, played by Pawan Kalyan.

In the letter, the antagonist writes, “Dear OG, Expecting to meet you, to talk to you and to kill you, your OMI. Happy birthday OG.”
What follows is a brutal sequence where the villain beats his victims with a baseball bat.
The one-minute glimpse then shifts gears, giving fans a quick but impactful look at Pawan Kalyan’s character. In the final moments, he appears with a Japanese Katana sword, ready for combat.
On social media, DVV Entertainment shared the video with the caption: “That’s OMI. That’s his wish. That’s for OG. #HBDOgLoveOmi #HBDPawanKalyan #OG #TheyCallHimOG.”
Earlier in the day, the production house also shared a heartfelt message for the star. “Happy Birthday #OG. Don’t know how people choose to describe you or show their love with wishes when the name PAWAN KALYAN itself is a revolution. It feels surreal for us to witness every heartbeat chanting your name up close. As always, words fall short to express our love… #OG journey is our tribute to your fire and to everything you have done for us.”
The film features a strong supporting cast with Emraan Hashmi playing the antagonist, alongside Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in important roles.
>The film is being produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, the same banner that delivered the global hit ‘RRR’.
Cinematographers Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa are handling the visuals. National Award winner Navin Nooli is taking care of the editing.
The journey of ‘They Call Him OG’ has not been smooth. The film was originally scheduled to release on September 27 last year, but production delays pushed it back. Now, after a long wait, the makers have confirmed that the film will finally hit theatres worldwide on September 25, 2025.
