Barkha Singh, hailing from the picturesque city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, has been making waves in the entertainment industry with her commendable performances and social media presence. Recently, the talented actress expressed her admiration for Telugu cinema, citing its captivating mix of action and masala entertainers as a major draw.
In a candid interview, Barkha revealed her deep-rooted connection to Visakhapatnam, where she frequently visits, and her longstanding love for Telugu films. “I’ve been a huge fan of Telugu cinema. They’re a perfect blend of action, masala entertainers… something that really excites me,” she enthused.

While already garnering praise for her roles in Hindi films like ‘Maja Ma,’ Barkha now sets her sights on exploring opportunities in the Southern film industries. “After delving into various genres in Hindi cinema, I would love to venture into South and Pan-Indian films and shows,” she expressed. “The entertaining, thrilling content emerging from there intrigues me, and I aspire to explore the rich narratives of Tamil and Telugu cinema.”

When asked about potential projects in the pipeline, Barkha disclosed receiving scripts from the South Indian film industry. However, she emphasized the importance of finding the right story and character alignment. “For me, the character holds more importance, but if the storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat, why not,” she quipped.
On the professional front, Barkha was last seen captivating audiences in ‘Maja Ma,’ sharing screen space with the legendary Madhuri Dixit. Her upcoming project, ‘A Legal Affair,’ promises to showcase her talent in a pivotal role alongside Angad Bedi. The film is an official adaptation of the popular Korean series ‘Suspicious Partner’.
