The actress opened up about this unusual fan encounter during a chat on the show ‘Famously Fit with Sophie’ hosted by Sophie Choudry. It started as normal meet-and-greet but quickly turned into jaw-dropping confession that left Sonam stunned.

According to Sonam, a young woman walked up to her and asked if she was really Sonam Bajwa. When she confirmed, the fan dropped the bomb, she said her engagement broke because of Sonam.
For a moment, the actress didn’t even know how to react. She later admitted she was confused about whether to say sorry or just stand there in shock.
But the story didn’t end there. The fan quickly clarified that she was actually happy now and engaged to someone else. That’s when the real twist came out, and it made the entire situation even more unbelievable.
“He wanted me to look like you”
The fan revealed that her former fiancé was obsessed with Sonam Bajwa. He reportedly wanted her to look like the actress, from body shape to overall appearance. The pressure became too much, and she eventually called off the engagement.

For those who may not know, Sonam Bajwa started her journey as a model and gained early attention after participating in Femina Miss India 2012. She made her acting debut with the Punjabi film ‘Best of Luck’ and quickly rose to fame after starring in ‘Punjab 1984’.
Over the years, she became one of the most popular faces in Punjabi cinema with hits like ‘Nikka Zaildar’, ‘Carry On Jatta 3’, and ‘Sardaar Ji’. She also expanded into Hindi entertainment with projects such as ‘Street Dancer 3D’ and the series ‘Karam Yuddh’.
Recently, she was seen in ‘Housefull 5’ and ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.
