Sanjay Dutt’s biopic Sanju that has hit the theatres traces the relationship of Sanjay Dutt’s friend Kamli, played by Vicky Kaushal in the film.
Friends play a crucial role in everyone’s life and Sanjay Dutt had Paresh Ghelani fondly called Kamli.

In an interview session with Indian Express, Vicky said: “The character is an amalgamation of three or four of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends in real life but primarily the character is based on Paresh Ghelani who is based in the US. He lives and works there.”

According to PinkVilla, Paresh and his family moved to America much early on in his life and been settled in Chicago and now Los Angeles.
In the film, Paresh aka Kamli has been shown as Sanjay’s pillar of strength during tough times. He was very instrumental in getting Sanjay back from the clutches of drug addiction. Together they fought the battles which occurred in Sanjay Dutt’s life and being in different countries, Kamli aka Paresh helped him out.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film has collected Rs 73 crore in just two days.
