Linda Hamilton, known for her iconic role in the “Terminator” series, is gearing up for her debut in the highly anticipated final season of “Stranger Things.” However, despite her excitement about joining the cast of the beloved Netflix series, she revealed in a recent interview that she won’t be tuning in to watch the upcoming season.

Hamilton expressed her love for the show’s nostalgic 80s vibe and “Dungeons and Dragons” inspired storyline but confessed that being cast in the final season has changed her perspective. “When you buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So, I think it ruined the show for me,” she explained. “It would completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So, I won’t be watching [Season 5].”

Meanwhile, the excitement surrounding the final season is palpable, with the official “Stranger Things” Instagram teasing fans with behind-the-scenes photos and updates from the set. However, amidst the anticipation, cast member Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, stirred up some controversy by suggesting that they should have killed more characters in previous seasons to raise the stakes.

As production for the final season continues, fans are eagerly awaiting its release. However, with industry disruptions caused by Hollywood strikes, it’s uncertain when Season 5 will make its debut on Netflix, with speculations hinting at a possible release date in 2025.

Despite Hamilton’s decision to sit out on watching the season, fans can rest assured that her addition to the cast promises an exciting finale for one of Netflix’s most beloved series.
