Bieber’s longtime collaborator Daniel Caesar also joins the production team, alongside names like Carter Lang, Dylan Wiggins, mk.gee, Daniel Chetrit, and Knox Fortune.

The buzz around ‘Swag’ had been building for days before the release. Fans spotted mysterious billboards in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and even Iceland, all featuring a black-and-white image of Bieber and the word “Swag” in bold letters.

The speculation was soon confirmed when Bieber posted the billboard images on Instagram, followed by a clip from New York City’s Times Square revealing the full tracklist.

Adding to the hype, the singer shared a series of personal moments as part of the album’s rollout. His Instagram featured what looked like behind-the-scenes shots from a photo shoot, including intimate pictures with his wife Hailey Bieber and their young son, Jack Blues.

In the lead-up to the release, Bieber had been dropping subtle clues that new music was in the works. He occasionally shared footage from recording sessions at his home studio in Los Angeles, where he jammed with producers like Carter Lang and friends like Eddie Benjamin and DJ Tay James.

‘Swag’ follows Bieber’s 2021 hit album ‘Justice’, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That record spawned multiple chart-toppers, including “Peaches,” “Hold On,” and “Anyone.” The ‘Justice World Tour’ kicked off in 2022 but cut short in September of that year due to Bieber’s ongoing health concerns. He later cancelled the remaining tour dates to focus on recovery.

Since then, Bieber has kept a relatively low profile musically, until now. Earlier this year, he made a surprise appearance at SZA’s concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, joining her onstage for a live version of their duet “Snooze.”
