Celebrity hair stylist Jawed Habib, his son Anos Habib, and an associate are now under police investigation after 32 FIRs were registered against them in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. The trio is accused of running a financial scheme that allegedly cheated investors by promising unusually high returns.

According to police, the case revolves around a company called Follicle Global Company (FLC). Habib, his son, and the associate reportedly told investors that their money would earn 50-70% returns through Bitcoin purchases in addition to other investment plans.

Each investor was said to have contributed between ₹5-7 lakh, with the promise of fast and high profits.

However, the promised returns never materialized. Police officials estimate that the alleged financial fraud could be worth between ₹5-7 crore. Senior officer Krishna Kumar Vishnoi stated, “The three accused collected money from multiple investors with the promise of high returns. But even after more than two years, none of the investors received their money back.”

In response, the Sambhal police have issued lookout notices to prevent Jawed Habib and his family from leaving the country. The police are calling Habib and his associates for questioning.

Raia Satti Station Officer Govind Kumar explained, “After preliminary investigations, FIRs were filed against Jawed Habib, his son Anos, and their associate Saiful. Notices have been sent to them for interrogation. Habib’s lawyer met with us on Sunday and submitted medical papers, citing his poor health.”

Habib’s lawyer, Pawan Kumar, emphasized that Habib’s health condition may prevent him from appearing immediately. Police officials have said that Habib will have to give his statement personally once he is able to do so.

Interestingly, Jawed Habib’s public life has not only been about hairstyling. In April 2019, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). At the time, Habib said he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his rise from humble beginnings as a tea seller.
