He also gave a shoutout to his father, who stepped in after he left, joking that the show got even funnier in his absence.

Filming is likely to resume on September 29, and thankfully, this short delay won’t affect the movie’s release date, which remains set for July 31, 2026.

Fans first got a sneak peek of the new Spider-Man adventure on August 10, when Sony shared behind-the-scenes footage from the Glasgow set. Holland, suited up as the iconic superhero, performed a thrilling stunt involving a tank.

In the video, he admitted the experience felt different this time. “It’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow,” he said. He also revealed how exciting it was to have fans on set for the very first day of filming.

The actor was humble about the intense stunts and the pressure of reprising such a beloved role. “We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure,” Holland joked.
