Hollywood is finally working in India, and it has nothing to do with Marvel
Four Hollywood films. Four different genres. All made money in India within six weeks, and not one of them had a superhero. That has not happened here in a very long time.

Even Hollywood legends have their off switch. Two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington surprised fans this week when he openly admitted that he doesn’t enjoy watching movies anymore, and that he’s simply “tired of them.”
The revelation came during a candid chat with GQ, where Washington was joined by his longtime collaborator Spike Lee, director of Washington’s new crime thriller ‘Highest 2 Lowest’, and co-star A$AP Rocky.

“I don’t watch movies, man, I really don’t,” Denzel Washington said, according to ‘Variety’. “I’m just being honest with you! I don’t watch movies! I don’t go to the movies, I don’t watch movies… Yeah, I’m tired of movies.”

When Lee asked him how many films he’s made, Washington laughed and guessed, “Too many. I think 50!”

This latest project marks Washington and Lee’s fifth collaboration. The pair previously worked together on classics like ‘Mo’ Better Blues’ (1990), ‘Malcolm X’ (1992), ‘He Got Game’ (1998), and ‘Inside Man’ (2006). Washington earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for ‘Malcolm X’, which Lee still believes he should have won.
Washington has long been clear about his stance on awards. Earlier this summer, he told ‘Jake’s Takes’ podcast that his career choices have never been influenced by Oscar ambitions.
“I don’t do it for the Oscars. I don’t care about that kind of stuff,” he said. “I’ve been at this a long time, and there’s time when I won and shouldn’t have won and then didn’t win and should’ve won. Man gives the award. God gives the reward.”
He added a perspective on the trophies themselves: “I’m not that interested in Oscars. People ask me, ‘Where do I keep it?’ Well, next to the other one. I’m not bragging! Just telling you how I feel about it. On my last day, (Oscars) aren’t going to do me a bit of good.”
‘Highest 2 Lowest’ is a crime thriller that reimagines Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 Japanese classic ‘High and Low’, which itself was inspired by Ed McBain’s 1959 novel ‘King’s Ransom’. Alongside Washington, the film stars Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, A$AP Rocky, John Douglas Thompson, Dean Winters, LaChanze, Princess Nokia, and Ice Spice.
