In ‘Oppenheimer,’ Murphy plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant scientist often referred to as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb.” The film delves into Oppenheimer’s internal conflict during World War II when he was faced with the moral dilemma of whether to proceed with testing the atomic bomb, knowing the catastrophic consequences it could unleash.
