Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas are all back, playing their original characters as the band Connect 3. This time, the story picks up before a major reunion tour for the group.

Here’s the setup. The brothers lose their opening act right before the tour. So they head back to Camp Rock, hoping to discover fresh new talent to fill that spot.

Meet the new campers

A whole new generation joins the cast this time around. Liamani Segura plays Sage, a determined camper chasing her shot at becoming the opening act. Hudson Stone plays her easygoing brother, Desi.

Malachi Barton plays Fletch, described as the camp’s charming bad boy. Lumi Pollack plays Rosie, a cello prodigy. Casey Trotter plays Cliff, an energetic drummer. Brooklynn Pitts plays Callie, a choreography focused camper. Ava Jean rounds out the group as Madison, an intimidating social media influencer type.

Sherry Cola also joins the cast. Maria Canals-Barrera returns too, reprising her role as Connie, the mother of Mitchie Torres from the earlier films.

What about Demi Lovato?

This is the question every longtime fan is asking. Lovato became a household name playing Mitchie Torres in the first two Camp Rock movies. This time, she is not confirmed to appear on screen.

She is still very much involved though. Lovato is one of the film’s executive producers, working behind the scenes to help hand the franchise over to this new generation of characters.

The new song and trailer

Alongside the release date, Disney dropped a new teaser trailer. It shows the new campers arriving at Camp Rock, filled with energetic performances and choreography reminiscent of the earlier films.

The teaser also debuts the film’s first single, titled One Beat Away. The song is already available to stream on major platforms.

In one moment from the trailer, Sage discovers Mitchie Torres’s old songbook covered in dust. She declares she is going to become Connect 3’s new opening act. Right after that line, Fletch knocks her to the ground, hinting at the camp rivalry and romance still to come.
