The Piku co-stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are once again going to hit the silver screen together for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next. Deepika has already started preparing for her character which is based on Sapan Didi also known as Rahima Khan — the mafia queen from the 80s.
Ramesh Bala, the trade analyst confirmed the title of the film on Saturday morning, sharing it on his twitter handle, he captioned,@deepikapadukone – Dir #VishalBharadwaj – @irrfank ‘s new project is titled #Rani Deepika’s character is based on Sapna Didi also known as Rahima Khan – the Mafia Queen from the 80’s. @irrfank will play the role of Deepika’s husband, who is a gangster called Kaliya.”

The actress is in full power and is quite particular as she wants the tonality and body language as close to the late Sapna Didi.
The shooting will begin in March in Mumbai. The new avatar of Deepika as a lady don has already created a curiosity among the fans after a massive hit of her film Padmaavat.
