‘Tere Ishk Mein’ early review: Dhanush is back in Bollywood reuniting with director Aanand L Rai for romantic drama ‘Tere Ishk Mein’. The film’s opening day has painted quite an interesting picture at the box office. While Hindi-speaking regions have welcomed the film warmly, the Tamil version has seen a quieter start.
– All-India gross from ticket sales: ₹5.65 Crore
– Total pre-release business including block bookings: ₹9.26 Crore
– Hindi version contribution: ₹5.30 Crore with over 2.1 lakh tickets sold in 12,500 shows
– Tamil version contribution: ₹34.4 Lakhs with about 26,000 tickets sold in 1,000 shows
Trade analysts note that despite Dhanush’s star power and Rahman’s music, the Tamil Nadu response has been underwhelming. With no major Tamil releases recently, the film had a rare opportunity to dominate screens in the South but hasn’t fully capitalised on it yet.
