Released in 1989, ‘Chandni’ was Yash Chopra’s big return to romance after a string of unsuccessful action movies.

The film told the story of Chandni Mathur, a young woman caught in a heart-wrenching love triangle. She is deeply in love with Rohit, played by Rishi Kapoor, but when tragedy strikes and he becomes paralysed, Chandni’s life takes a turn.
Moving to Mumbai, she finds kindness and affection in her boss Lalit, played by Vinod Khanna. Just when she begins to settle, Rohit returns to win her back, leaving Chandni with the toughest choice of her life.
