The teaser of Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt has already stunned us with the effortless transformation of Ranbir Kapoor. One of the most awaited ventures of 2018, the film gave a glimpse of Sanjay Dutt’s unsteady life in the teaser.
Rajkumar Hirani has shared the trailer of the film which has raised a lot of curiosity around the film. Ranbir Kapoor seems to have thrown himself into the controversial actor’s self to get all his mannerisms right.
In the 3-odd minutes, long trailer shows the remarkable transformation of Ranbir Kapoor into the character he is playing. The trailer begins with Ranbir talking to the audience and saying his autobiography will reach them soon. The trailer shows various stages of Sanjay Dutt’s life — from his drug addiction to 350 girlfriends, his time in the jail, his father’s unshakable belief and much more.
The trailer also shows Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal and others in different roles. The trailer is impressive in which ‘Sanju’ is heard saying again and again that he is not a terrorist.
Vicky plays the role of Sanju’s best buddy, while Anushka is likely to play Sanjay’s lawyer. Manisha is essaying the role of his mom, Nargis Dutt, while Paresh Rawal will play his father Sunil Dutt. Sonam Kapoor will be seen as his love interest.
Bankrolled by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, the Dutt biopic is set to be released on 29 June 2018.
