Alia Bhatt’s Raazi continues its phenomenal run at the box office. After collecting Rs 85.33 crore in just 12 days, the film is now inching closer to the elite Rs 100-crore mark.

Meghna Gulzar’s espionage thriller, which is based on the bestselling novel Calling Sehmat, opened to a strong response at the box office despite the intense competition from multiple releases.

Trade analyst and business tracker Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s business on his social media handles.

Raazi earned Rs 3.30 crore on its second Tuesday, which is comparably better than numerous other films released in 2018, thus taking the total 12 day collection of the film to Rs 85.33 crore.

Owing to its strong of word of mouth from fans and critics, Raazi has emerged as a success story at the box office and is now looking forward to establish itself as one of the most profitable Hindi films by crossing the Rs 100-crore mark.

Raazi is only in its second week and has grossed more than Rs 85 crore in the Indian markets and despite new releases scheduled in the coming weeks it’s probably safe to say that the film will reach the Rs 100-crore mark.

Considering the fact that the film has been constantly performing well at the box office on the weekdays, the film’s third weekend might just be the time when the film finally grosses Rs 100-crore mark.

Raazi‘s performance at the box office is also noticeable as at the time of its release the film was facing a stiff competition from the already ruling Avengers: Infinity War and then came Hollywood’s other offering Deadpool 2. Raazi managed to overcome these odds and maintained its stronghold at the box office.

Now, it’ll be interesting to see that after the conclusion of its third weekend at the box office where will the film rank on the list of highest grossing Hindi films of 2018.

The current list is as follows.

Padmaavat: Rs 302.15 crore

Baaghi 2: Rs 165.50 crore

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety: Rs 108.51 crore

Raid: Rs 102.81 crore

Raazi: Rs 85.33 crore

Pad Man: Rs 78.40 crore

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Raazi also stars Vicky Kaushal, Soni Razadan, Rajit Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. It was released worldwide on May 11.
