From now on, everything he posts or earns from these platforms will be linked to the ‘Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation’, which he recently launched in her name.
“Coming very soon with Pari’s channel on YouTube. My Instagram and YouTube is dedicated to her and for her foundation #shefalijariwalarisefoundation. Any promotion and monetary coming from these are going to my Pari’s foundation,” Parag Tyagi wrote.
In another note, he thanked fans and well-wishers for their constant support during this tough time. “We are so overwhelmed with all your love and blessings. Just keep loving us so we can fulfill her dream together. Love you all from us: me, Pari, and Simba,” he added.
The foundation, announced on August 19, aims to focus on the welfare and education of underprivileged children. In one of his recent posts, Parag shared a video of kids who have already become part of the initiative.
He captioned it: “Congratulations Doston Navya, Kavya, Ishan & Inaya few more drops in the ocean of #shefalijariwalarisefoundation. Keep praying and keep showering ur love so we can fulfil Pari’s dream and help as many underprivileged children we can so grateful #shefalijariwala.”
Shefali Jariwala, best remembered as the “Kaanta Laga girl”, passed away on June 27, 2025, following a cardiac arrest. She was just 42. Reports stated that Parag rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital after finding her unresponsive at home, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Shefali had shot to overnight fame in 2002 with the remix music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, which became one of the biggest hits of its time. Her popularity landed her a role in Salman Khan’s comedy ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. Years later, she returned to screens with the web series ‘Baby Come Naa’ in 2019.
Apart from films and music videos, Shefali also made a mark on television. She appeared in dance shows like ‘Boogie Woogie’ and ‘Nach Baliye’. She also participated in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’, where she entered the house along with her close friend and ex-boyfriend, actor Sidharth Shukla, who himself passed away young in his 40s due to a heart attack.
