On Saturday morning, Priyanka Chopra got engaged to American singer Nick Jonas in the presence of their families in a traditional ceremony. Among a few special and close friends, Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra flew down from Lucknow to be a part of the occasion.
Social media is flooded with pictures and posts but what caught our attention is Parineeti’s heartfelt Instagram post, a picture in which she is giving a bear hug to Priyanka.

Her post read: “Today I witnessed magic and a fairytale … When we were kids, mimi didi and I used to play “ghar ghar”. We would pretend to be shy brides, have imaginary children, and serve tea to our husbands! cheesy, but its because we always believed in the magic of love and hoped we would both find that perfect man for us one day!!”
“Nick, I have done both with you. And so I know you’re perfect for her!! Love her, because she loves you like mad! Protect her, because she’s strong, but a soft soul inside. I love you both and wish you all the happiness forever.”
Months back, the trio went on a monsoon vacation to Goa.
Wherein Parineeti shared a video in which Chopra sisters could be heard crooning the Bollywood rain song “Tip Tip Barsa Paani” and Nick was silently watching Priyanka.
Nick and Priyanka met at the 2017 Met Gala where they both represented Ralph Lauren and the rumours of their relationship began in May 2018.
