Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are all set to make their big Bollywood debut in Dhadak. The shooting for Dhadak is going on in full swing and the entire cast and crew are currently in Kolkata.
On Monday morning, director Shashank Khaitan shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of Ishaan and Janhvi shooting near iconic Victoria Memorial on his Twitter handle.
In the pictures, the two actors are seen indulging in a conversation and laughing. The director captioned the pictures as, “In Victoria Memorial … #dhadak #janhvikapoor #IshaanKhatter #Ankit #shridhar … #kolkattadiaries @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @DharmaMovies @ZeeStudios”

This is not the first time that Janhvi and Ishaan’s look from the film sets were spotted. Director Shashank told a newspaper: “Dhadak is a title, a word and quite relatable. We are really excited about the film. was always very excited to go to two new fresh faces and see how it works. Janhvi and Ishaan get a sense of innocence to the table and that’s what we will capitalize on.”
Dhadak is an official remake of hit Marathi film Sairat, a musical romantic drama directed by Nagraj Manjule.
Sairat’s plot is about two college friends Archi and Parshya, who have contrasting personalities and belong to different castes, fall in love. However, their relationship falls prey to the stringent practice of casteism.
Dhadak is slated to release on July 20, 2018.
