Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy, which is inspired by the street rappers of Mumbai’s Dharavi, has impressed the audience with its trailer and first song. The Internet is flooded with praises for Ranveer Singh and a rap from the song has been trending.
On Monday, Ranveer Singh unveiled the new poster from Gully Boy which showcases the power of words. The poster featuring a pen with a mic evidently sends the message. Singh took to Instagram and shared the poster captioning, “Aayega #gullyboy minimal art by @ntnmshra”

The song Apna Time Aayega has taken over the internet in no time and the video had garnered 14 million views in just 24 hours. The beats are catchy and the response from the audience says this is not just a song but almost a revolution. Another song, Mere Gully Mein, is all set to unveil at the grand music launch event scheduled for 24 January 2019.

Recently, at the trailer launch of the film, Ranveer Singh had claimed that only he could have pulled off the role. “When somebody told me about the script of ‘Gully Boy’, I told them that it is my film. If any other actor would have been a part of this film instead of me then I would have got burnt with jealousy. I was born to do ‘Gully Boy’ and I knew only I can pull off this character,” he said.
Gully Boy is a story inspired by street rappers of Dharavi and Ranveer and Alia will share the screen for the first time.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby. It is all set to hit the screens on 14 February 2019.
