Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Fighter’ has faced a setback for fans in Gulf countries, with the exception of the UAE. According to Girish Johar, a film business expert and producer, the movie “has been denied release in all Gulf countries except UAE as of now.” The specific reason for the ban remains undisclosed.

A source close to the ‘Fighter’ team has confirmed this development regarding the film’s release in Gulf countries, excluding the UAE. However, official statements from the makers are yet to be issued.

Despite facing obstacles with the censor board in Gulf countries, the aerial action thriller is ready to hit Indian theaters on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. Produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, ‘Fighter’ is touted as a tribute to the valor, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces.

Siddharth, reflecting on the film, stated, “Mamta (Siddharth’s wife) and I started our film company MARFLIX with #FIGHTER. A film that is ambitious in more ways than one. It’s more than just a film for us, and we have given it our all. As 2024 begins, the nervousness and anxiety are palpable. Here’s hoping that you guys give the same love to FIGHTER that you showered on PATHAAN. Happy new year, guys! See you at the movies on 25th January.” (ANI)
