For years, one number has followed Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan’s divorce around, Rs 400 crore in alimony. Now, Farah Khan Ali, Sussanne’s sister, has finally put the rumour to rest herself.

Speaking to journalist Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Farah addressed the long standing claim head on. She said the reports about a massive alimony payout were simply not true, and she wanted that on record.

She described the entire separation as amicable, something that stood in sharp contrast to the intense public scrutiny both Hrithik and Sussanne faced at the time.

What she said about that period

Farah recalled just how much noise surrounded the couple’s split. She said everyone around them was in shock, and there was a lot of hue and cry at the time. She acknowledged how many opinions people had about their personal lives, but she was clear that both Hrithik and Sussanne handled the situation with grace.

Her exact words carried real frustration. She said there was never any Rs 400 crore alimony, and admitted she feels genuinely upset whenever she sees people online claiming Sussanne got richer through the divorce. She called it a straight up lie.

No money was involved, she insists

Farah went further, stating plainly that Sussanne never accepted any money as part of the separation. She called the entire rumour completely false.

She credited their upbringing for shaping how Sussanne approached the situation. According to Farah, their mother always taught them that relationships mattered far more than material things. She believes this mindset is exactly why Sussanne still shares such a warm relationship with Hrithik, along with his parents, Pinkie and Rakesh Roshan.

Farah described that bond as genuinely strong even today, saying the Roshan family loves Sussanne, and the relationship between them has remained wonderful over the years.

Addressing the bigger perception

Farah also pushed back against the broader idea that Sussanne somehow benefited financially from the divorce. She pointed out that her sister comes from a respected family and has always carried herself with dignity.

She described both Sussanne and Hrithik as genuinely dignified people who never turned their separation into public drama, even though outsiders tried to make it one.

Why Sussanne never denied it herself

One of the more interesting parts of Farah’s conversation was about why Sussanne never spoke up about the rumour herself. Farah revealed that after the divorce was finalised in 2014, she personally encouraged her sister multiple times to publicly deny the alimony reports.

Sussanne, however, chose to stay quiet. Farah recalled asking her directly why she would not just deny it all. According to Farah, Sussanne’s response was simple, she said she did not care what people thought of her.

Farah said that response reflects their family’s broader outlook on life. She explained that they simply do not let public opinion shape their choices unless the opinion actually comes from someone whose voice genuinely matters to them.

Hrithik and Sussanne’s story

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan were childhood friends before their relationship turned romantic. They got married in December 2000, shortly after Hrithik’s breakout debut in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.

Together, they have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The couple separated in 2013, and their divorce was finalised the following year in 2014.

Despite the split, Hrithik and Sussanne have remained on notably good terms since the divorce.
