Ranveer Singh’s latest blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ is on record-breaking spree, and the numbers are nothing short of jaw-dropping. Almost six weeks after its release, the Aditya Dhar spy thriller has crossed the ₹1300 crore mark worldwide.
$21 Million in the US Alone: Dhurandhar tops North America
The film has now become the highest-grossing Indian film ever in North America, raking in over $21 million in the US and Canada. This officially beats the nine-year-old record set by SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, which had earned $20.7 million back in 2017.
Dhurandhar isn’t just topping charts in North America; it’s leaving other recent hits in the dust. The $21 million gross has overtaken major blockbusters including Kalki 2898 AD ($18.5M), Pathaan ($17.5M), Jawan ($15.6M), RRR ($15.3M), Pushpa 2 ($15.3M), Animal ($14M), and even Dangal ($12.4M).
Back home, the spy thriller is no less of a phenomenon. With over ₹800 crore net earnings (nearly ₹1000 crore gross), Dhurandhar is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
Star-studded cast and global appeal
Of course, Ranveer Singh isn’t doing it alone. The film also features heavyweights like Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, with Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun.
