Akshay Kumar is all ready to bring back the horror-comedy magic with his upcoming film ‘Bhooth Bangla’, and the buzz is already building as the movie heads for a paid preview ahead of its theatrical release this Friday. But just before the film reaches the audience, Akshay has added an emotional touch to the promotion by remembering his longtime co-star Asrani.

Akshay opened his heart while recalling their long journey together. He revealed that they have worked in 12 films over the years, calling each experience a learning moment. According to him, every film felt like a “masterclass,” where Asrani constantly taught him something new.

He also highlighted Asrani’s brilliance in comedy, saying it may look easy on screen but is actually one of the toughest forms of acting.

Akshay also mentioned that ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is releasing the next day. And for him, the film carries a deeper emotional weight. He described it as a tribute and salute to Asrani, who will always be remembered through his work.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ brings big reunion and star cast

Directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ marks major reunion between him and Akshay Kumar after their 2010 film ‘Khatta Meetha’. The project has been talked about for its mix of horror and comedy.

The film features ensemble cast including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late Asrani.

Originally planned for a May release, the film has now been moved forward to April 16, 2026.
