Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh has opened up about her experience collaborating with Akshay Kumar on the song ‘Ghis Ghis Ghis’ from the upcoming film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. The film releases in cinemas on June 26.
‘Ghis Ghis Ghis’ is a track from ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, directed by Ahmed Khan. The song features Akshay Kumar in a fun, high-energy avatar. Akshara Singh appears alongside him in the track.

The film has a large ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Urvashi Rautela, and many others.

It is presented by A A Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films, and Star Studio18 in association with Seeta Films and Rakesh Dang.
Akshara revealed that Akshay Kumar was unwell during the shoot. He had a fever of 103 to 104 degrees but continued working without stopping.
Speaking to ANI, she said, “The biggest thing was that he had a fever of 103-104 degrees while shooting. I kept observing him and realised how much he loves his work and his craft. He works with a great sense of responsibility and dedication.”
For Akshara, watching him push through illness while maintaining his energy on set was a lesson in professionalism.
Akshara recalled the moment she first received the call about the song. It came from director Ahmed Khan’s production house.
“I was told there’s a song in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and that I had to do it. I hesitated for a while,” she said.
Choreographer Ganesh Acharya then called her personally to encourage her. That call made the difference.
“He asked me if I would do the song. I asked what kind of song it was, and he said it’s a wonderful track and that I would really like it. He encouraged me to do it. And the moment I heard Ganesh sir and Akshay sir’s names, I was completely blank,” she shared.
Akshara did not hold back when describing how nervous she was. For her, this was not just a professional opportunity. It was personal.
“As an actor, I was extremely grateful to get this opportunity. But at the same time, the child in me was so nervous that I even had to go to the washroom out of anxiety. It was actually a fangirl moment for me,” she said.
She added that until recently, she had only watched Akshay Kumar on television. Sharing screen space with him felt surreal.
“Until yesterday, I used to watch Akshay sir’s films on television and clap. And suddenly, I was getting the chance to share screen space with him. I truly felt like life was writing its own script,” she said.
‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is directed by Ahmed Khan. It is one of the biggest ensemble films of the year, with over 30 actors in the cast.
The film releases in cinema halls on June 26.
