The excitement around ‘War 2’ just went up a notch as the first look of its song ‘Aavan Jaavan’ released. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film brings together Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani for the very first time on screen.
On Tuesday, Ayan Mukerji shared a still from the upcoming track on Instagram. In the picture, Hrithik and Kiara are seen holding hands, dressed in matching white outfits, looking both romantic and stylish.

Along with the photo, Ayan also shared his excitement for the song, which is going to release in two days. He wrote, “’Aavan Jaavan’, our first song from ‘War 2’, is out in 2 days! So sharing some love and excitement here about it! Pritam Dada. Amitabh. Arijit. Hrithik and Kiara’s lovely energy as they come together on screen for the first time.”

Ayan revealed that the same music team who gave us the hit song ‘Kesariya’ from ‘Brahmastra’, composer Pritam, lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, and singer Arijit Singh, has reunited for this track. He described ‘Aavan Jaavan’ as both “groovy and romantic,” and said it was the soundtrack of their Italian shoot.
“Creating it was one of the most joy-filled experiences and memories of making ‘War 2’ for all of us,” he added.
Earlier this month, the cast and crew wrapped up shooting for the film. After the shoot ended, Hrithik Roshan took to Instagram to write a heartfelt note.
Reflecting on the journey, he said, “149 days of relentless chase, action, dance, blood, sweat, injuries.” He thanked director Ayan Mukerji and co-stars Jr NTR and Kiara Advani for their support and shared experiences.
He especially praised Kiara, saying, “@advani_kiara I’m so excited for the world to witness the lethal side of you. You’ve been spectacular to share the screen with.”
He also showed deep appreciation for the vision of producer Aditya Chopra and director Ayan Mukerji.
Talking about his popular character Major Kabir Dhaliwal, Hrithik admitted that it’s always difficult to say goodbye.
“It’s always bittersweet to call it a wrap for Kabir. It will take a couple of days to feel like myself again,” he said. “Now onto the journey of presenting our film to you all on August 14, 2025.”
He later wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Feeling a mixed bag of emotions as the cameras stopped rolling for #War2. 149 days of relentless chase, action, dance, blood, sweat, injuries… and it was all WORTH IT! @tarak9999 sir it has been an honour to work alongside you and create something so special together.”
‘War 2’ is the sequel to the 2019 hit ‘War’, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor. The new film not only continues Kabir’s story but also brings in Jr NTR for a fresh twist. It’s going to hit theatres on August 14, 2025, just ahead of India’s Independence Day.
