Ashish Chanchlani, the popular YouTuber and one of the panelists on the controversial episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’, recently opened up about what happened after the show stirred so much trouble. He shared his story with Faridoon Shahryar, giving us a peek behind the scenes of that crazy time.
When the episode aired, things quickly got out of hand. The police started investigating the panelists, but Ashish Chanchlani was the only one they could find easily. Why? Because his co-panelists were either out of town or just unreachable.

Samay was in Vancouver, Apoorva was missing and scared, and Ranveer Allahbadia just disappeared.
Ashish was in Bandra, so the police came straight to him. He had to give his statement to the police and deal with a lot of stress.
Ashish said those two months were pure chaos for everyone involved. Even though many people thought the whole thing was just a silly clip or a reel, for the people on the show, it was serious business. “When you’re sitting in front of the police and government officials, it’s a different level of pressure,” he said.
In the episode, Ashish was mostly just laughing, but even that got him into trouble. The police questioned why he laughed, and he had to explain that it was because of inside jokes with Samay and that he was laughing at Ranveer’s silly behavior, not at any offensive comments.
The real problem started with a remark made by Ranveer Allahbadia, which upset many people and caused a big backlash. Ashish knows Ranveer well as they have been friends for about seven years. And, he says Ranveer’s comment was meant as a joke, not to hurt anyone. Still, the situation was very hard on everyone involved, especially Samay, Apoorva, and Ranveer.
