Arshad, I feel is very understated. He is one of the best actors I’ve worked with. In fact, when it comes to comedy, he is one of the very best in the country, for he improvises with every take. His spontaneity makes the scene very exciting and keeps you constantly on your toes. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him, said actor Vidya Balan.

The versatile actor was interacting with RJ Abhilash in tinsel town on Friday. It was a Friday special episode, ‘Mumbai Ka Sabse Bada Struggler’ in which Vidya expressed her views about Arshad Warsi. Vidya is enjoying her latest role as an RJ for the very first time on 92.7 BIG FM’s Muthoot Blue ‘Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho with Vidya Balan’.

Talking about the other co-star Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya said, “Naseerji, well, he is so natural that you can’t really figure if he’s acting or that is his real self. The vibe was really nice on our set having them around. Moreover, I was very happy as I was rediscovering myself as an actor. Naseerji would call me Miss Giggles as I kept laughing on the sets. Plus, I was already friends with Arshad because of Lage Raho Munnabhai, resulting in an exceptional experience for me.”

Known for pioneering a change in the concept of a Hindi film heroine with her portrayals of strong-willed women, when asked if any film has ever had a positive impact on her life, Vidya Balan referred to Ishqiya and said, “I think I was reincarnated through Ishqiya. Before that, I’d done a couple of films for which I was criticized a lot. I was facing a lot of flak in the media because of my weight and the clothes I wore. I was very confused as to what kind of films I should do as nothing was exciting enough. When I was doing Ishqiya, I came in touch with the reason why I became an actor. I remembered my urge to experience multiple lives in this one life, as the reason behind choosing acting as a profession. That’s when I really started enjoying my own space.”
