Director Abhishek Kapoor is infamous for his history of spats with production houses and seems like his next film Kedarnath will suffer the same fate because of the same.
Earlier, it was revealed that the makers of the film KriArj Entertainment and Kapoor aka Gattu are no longer on the same page because of Gattu’s interference in the financial aspects of the film. Also he announced the release date of Kedarnath, which the producers were certainly not happy about.
A source close to the film was heard as saying, “KriArj Entertainment and T-Series decided to come onboard since they believed in the film and in Abhishek Kapoor’s vision. However, as Kedarnath unfolded, several issues pertaining the dates of the talent, prep time and delays in the film’s delivery began cropping up. Abhishek replaced several of the crew members and technicians at the very last minute. Kedarnath was going way overbudget owing to Gattu’s constant unreasonable demands. He not only delayed the shoot of the film by six months but also majorly interfered in the film’s financial planning and overall business workings.”

KriArj Entertainment is not pleased with Gattu’s involvement in the decisions where he is not concerned and even Amrita Singh seems to agree with the producers as Kedarnath is her daughter’s debut Bollywood film.
According to reports, when the director revealed the release date of Kedarnath to the veteran actor, she was furious because she didn’t want Kedarnath to release with Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, which will certainly affect Sara Ali Khan’s debut and jeopardise her career.
The reports also suggest that the actor and director’s confrontation turned into a heated argument with Amrita losing her cool over the director.
Kedarnath is an upcoming film that narrates the story of a rich tourist (Sara), who falls in love with a Pithu (Sushant Singh Rajput) on her journey to the pilgrimage set in the backdrop of 2013 Uttarakhand Floods.
Kedarnath was earlier scheduled to release on December 21, but as of now the fate of the film is unknown.
