Delhi records an increase in Covid-19 fresh cases

The number of fresh Covid-19 cases identified in the city during the past 24 hours rose to 45 from 30 yesterday, taking the cumulative count of such patients to 14,41,793, according to the Delhi government’s latest health bulletin issued on Tuesday. The tests conducted numbered 48,120 and the positivity rate stood at 0.09 percent.

No one died of Covid-19 and 31 hospitalised patients who recovered were discharged by their treating physicians.

The bulletin informed that there were 125 containment zones in Delhi at this stage.

The count of the beneficiaries of the anti-coronavirus vaccination programme who got jabbed during the last 24 hours was 1,35,262 and those having got their first vaccine dose were 49,444 in number. The cumulative number of people administered their first vaccine dose was 1,44,72,343 and the figure for those having got both vaccine doses so far was 97,99,136.
