Woman shot at by jilted lover in Gurugram

On Saturday morning as she was making her way to work, a man on a motorcycle stopped her and opened fire at close range.

A 22-year-old woman was injured when she was shot at by a jilted lover in IMT Manesar area of Gurugram on Saturday morning, police said.

The bullet almost missed the woman’s shoulder as it passed by.

Radhika, a 20-year-old Ghaziabad resident, has been named as the victim; the male has also been named, although his name has not yet been released.

The event happened in the jurisdiction of IMT Manesar police station, according to the police, at around 9 a.m.

After performing the crime, the accused stole a bystander’s bike and then fled, leaving his own bike behind.
