A notorious criminal wanted in around 13 cases of loot and murder and carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head was killed in an encounter in Charthawal area of the district, police said here on Friday.
Rihan was gunned down in the encounter last evening, said SSP Anant Dev, adding one of the accused’s accomplice managed to escape.

Constable Harvinder was also injured in the encounter that took place at Dadheru road under Charthawal police station in the district, the SSP said.

Two pistols and a bike was also recovered from Rihan’s possession, he said.
