Officials stated that the case has been instrumental in dismantling one of Delhi’s most feared criminal networks, active for nearly a decade. The incarceration of these individuals has resulted in a noticeable decline in extortion, land grabbing, and targeted shootings in east Delhi and adjoining NCR areas.
Saleem Ahmad was highlighted as a major illegal arms supplier for the Nasir Gang and other criminal syndicates, with operations involving cross-border weapons trafficking from Pakistan and Nepal. His arrest is seen as a major disruption to the arms network fueling gang violence in the region.
So far, six supplementary charge sheets have been filed in the case, with a total of 15 syndicate members chargesheeted. The investigation continues.
