While stone pelters are having a free run in south Kashmir, Pakistani terrorists are trying to create fear among residents of the strategic Hajin village in north Kashmir where they kidnapped three persons in the past two days.

Two CRPF personnel, both of them local Kashmiris, were killed at Hiller in Kokernag of south Kashmir on Wednesday evening when miscreants indulged in heavy stone pelting resulting in head injury to the driver who lost control over the vehicle that turned turtle and two para-military personnel died on the spot.

There were reports of some Pakistani and local terrorists trying to create terror in the north Kashmir by kidnapping residents of the Hajin village whom they suspect of being police informers. Three persons have been abducted in the past two days and body of one of them was found lying outside the village.

Terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) on Wednesday night barged into the house of one Abdul Gaffar Bhat and thrashed the inmates. They abducted Abdul Gaffar and his 24-year-old son Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.

However, Abdul Gaffar somehow managed to escape with bullet injuries, but his son was still in captivity of terrorists for whom the security forces have launched massive search.

A night earlier, Pakistani and local terrorists of LeT in a similar style barged into a house and abducted Naseer Ahmad Parrey whose bullet ridden body was found lying outside the village next morning. The womenfolk of the household were fired upon and inflicted injuries with knives.

A senior police officer said that investigations so far have revealed that a local terrorist of Hajin, Mohammad Saleem Parrey, who joined LeT last summer was the mastermind behind these abductions.

There were reports that five foreign terrorists of LeT outfit, Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider were also involved in these abductions and killing.

Few months ago Hajin had become a sanctuary of Pakistani terrorists, but the Army, security forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in joint operations eliminated more than 20 foreign terrorists.

Giving details of the stone pelting incident at Kokernag, police said that the CRPF vehicle belonged to the “F” company of 164 Battalion and those who lost their life on the spot as the vehicle turned turtle were Head Constable Nisar Wani (resident of the nearby Verinag) and Constable Riyaz Ahmad (resident of Kokernag) of south Kashmir.

Meanwhile, students of the universities and colleges in Srinagar on Thursday held protests against killing of 13 local terrorists and 4 civilians in three separate encounters in Shopian on Sunday last. However, the police burst teargas shells to disperse the students
