CJP’s Parliament march loses its script at Jantar Mantar, splinters into scattered protests
Student groups and Opposition workers formed a sizeable crowd, but the promised procession towards Parliament never emerged as one organised march.
Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Friday participated in the city’s ongoing sanitation campaign. The minister with brooms and gloves in his hand joined the local RWAs, school children, and market associations in clearing litter from streets, parks, and back lanes in the Shyam Nagar area, which is a part of his Rajouri Garden constituency.
After removing waste, he addressed volunteers and said, “A clean Delhi is a shared responsibility between the government and the community. Let us make cleanliness a daily habit and give our capital a new identity—clean, healthy, and prosperous.”

In an official document, the environment department highlighted that information booths educating residents on home composting, single-use plastic alternatives, and the Swachh Survekshan 2025 parameters have been set up by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

The Minister announced that similar drives will continue every weekend across Rajouri Garden, reinforcing the pledge to keep Delhi waste-free.
