Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday congratulated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and its workers for their victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election, saying it is a reflection of the youth’s faith in the ‘Nation First’ ideology.

Shah, taking to social media platform X, stated that the win will further accelerate the council’s journey of transforming the student power into a national power.

BJP national president J P Nadda has also congratulated the student wing of the RSS on winning the posts of president, secretary and joint secretary in the DUSU polls.

Nadda said that guided by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, the ABVP has always inspired the youth with a spirit of nationalism and selfless service.

Taking to social media, he stated that the victory shows that the message of ‘nation first’ is embraced by today’s young generation, who are going to lead the nation towards a bright and strong future.

The ABVP’s Aryan Maan won the President’s post with a good margin of over 15000 votes, while the ABVP also won two out of the other three positions in DUSU.

Lauding ABVP’s win, CM Rekha Gupta said that the victory is not just of an organization, but of every youth who believes in patriotism, discipline, service, and struggle as the guiding principles of their life.

She said that the result shows that the youth of Delhi are on the path of the vision that includes knowledge, character, and unity, that was established by the ABVP decades ago.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva also expressed happiness over the resounding victory, and has said that this triumph is not just an electoral win, but a powerful testimony to the unshakable faith of the student community in ABVP’s nationalist ideology, spirit of service, organizational strength, and dynamic leadership.

He said it reflects the voice of young India, full of energy, conviction and commitment to shaping a brighter future for the nation.

Sachdeva said that behind this victory lies the tireless dedication, discipline and hard work of countless ABVP workers, whose efforts continue to inspire the youth and strengthen the nation.
