Accusing previous governments of allegedly recruiting interns through political influence for pushing certain agendas, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said accused them of extending financial benefits to those politically recruited interns. She, however, claimed that recruitment of interns under the current government has been done under utmost transparency and is for the youth of the national capital.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Rekha Gupta announced the commencement of the Viksit Dilli CM Internship program under which 87 young interns have been selected to work with the state government. These youngsters will be connected with the policies and the schemes of the Delhi government in the next three-month. “For the first time young minds are being given an opportunity to directly participate in the governance process,” she added.

Congratulating the selected candidates for the internship, she said appointment letters would be provided to them soon.
This initiative is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s internship Scheme and represents a new approach to incorporating youthful perspectives into governance.
After a three-day training, the selected candidates will receive a three-month paid internship in various departments of the Delhi government, ” she added.
