Since the office at Subramaniyapuram locality in the town remained locked at night, none was injured and the building did not suffer any major damage, police added.
In a statement from its Politbureau, CPI(M) blamed the chaos on structural flaws in the sector, pointing to the emergence of a “virtual monopoly/duopoly” in air transport.
In a statement, the party's Polit Bureau said the opinion will only encourage the "assault on the rights of states" due to the over-centralisation of powers in the hands of the Centre.
