A social media influencer, who was also named in the case, appeared before the anti-money laundering agency on Tuesday for questioning in the same case.

The ED is probing known faces for their links with the app through endorsements and promotional activities related to these personalities allegedly related to the platform 1xBet.

Previously, the federal probe agency questioned former cricketers to the likes of Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan, and also a former TMC MP and actor Mimi Chakraborty, including a Bengali actor Ankush Hazra over the recent weeks in this ongoing probe.

The ED summoned actor Sonu Sood on Wednesday in the same case. It is probing illegal online betting platforms for their alleged involvement in duping people and evading taxes.

Earlier, some of those who have already been quizzed by ED officials have denied unlawful conduct.

It has been a while since the investigation is going on in the case with allegations by the concerned authorities that the said platform was illegally operating in the country, while there were several alleged irregularities in its operations, sources said.
